Apple tests iWatch with flexible screen:

venuszone.....
Apple's reported to be working on a smart watch boasting a curved touchscreen and running iOS.
The so-called iWatch would link to the user's phone or iPad via Bluetooth, and would be controlled either by using the touchscreen or via the Siri voice asssistant. It would be a quick and easy way of making voice calls, searches and mobile payments, for example.
Rumors of such a device have been circulating for quite some time but, says the New York Times, work is finally getting closer to completion. Indeed, the Wall Street Journal says that Apple's far Eastern supplier Hon Hai has been working for some time on technologies that would give it an acceptable battery life, such as more efficient displays and chips.

The most notable element of the rumored design is the watch's screen, which is not only curved but actually flexible. Last year, Corning successfully created Willow Glass: thin, bendy and capable of being wrapped around a human wrist.
It's clear Apple could benefit greatly from a completely new product type now that the iPod is losing popularity and the novelty of the iPad has so thoroughly worn off. Persistent rumors hint at an Apple television in the works, but an iWatch has greater gadget appeal.
And, with the advent of Google Glasses  - already in public testing -  wearable computing finally seems like a technology that's about to hit the mainstream.
"The iWatch will fill a gaping hole in the Apple ecosystem. It will facilitate and coordinate not only the activities of all the other computers and devices we use, but a wide array of devices to come," says former Apple employee Bruce Tognazzini in a blog.
"Like other breakthrough Apple products, its value will be underestimated at launch, then grow to have a profound impact on our lives and Apple’s fortunes."
